Student training, other than Tandems, which train for Category A & B in USPA's Integrated Student Program on their first three jumps, will need to complete the Skydiving Licensing training program at Orange, since I have yet to put together a complete Skydiving Instructional staff at Hartwood. All first time Tandem Skydives should be scheduled ahead. The same applies for anyone who is not current according to the Skydiver's information manual, and, every bit as importantly, who might offer more risk than a current, regular licensed skydiver who makes an honest minimum of around 40 or so jumps per year. We should be able to accommodate then in a week or two.
$18 gets licensed skydivers to 10,000', we take Visa, MasterCard, Amex Discover, and cash.
Thanks to Jackie's help, Alice Looney, whom some of you might know from her days manifesting for the VPC and at West Point, is our full time weekend manifest person.
ADVERTISING IDEAS- I'll need to get a bunch of Tandems coming, I'm hoping for about 6 each weekend day to keep one tandem instructor busy but still let lots of fun jumpers jump i want to promote Hartwood without cutting into the business fro the next closest skydiving center to DC & NOVA. I'm open to suggestions. THE MORE NEW BUSINESS I GET, THE LOWER JUMP PRICES CAN BE!.
SIGNS- There are a hundred or so little plastic signs in the office. I'd love it if anyone cares to find places to install them where they might be seen. I'll try to remember to bring the steel stakes to go with them.
SAFETY- Avoiding accidents is very important to me.

New for 2005-
Services offered will be
very minimal at first:
1) Skydives for current, USPA licensed skydivers, with functional
CYPRES AAD's that must be turned on before you jump. Yes, CYPRES
AAD's are required. While many skydiving places make them
optional, we insist on the extra level of safety they provide.
I've never heard any skydiver's excuse for wanting to jump without
one that made any sense, and we are not willing to take the risk
of allowing skydives here without a functioning automatic
activation device!
2) One Day first Tandem skydives - The first three skydives of the USPA's ISP student training program via Tandem only. We encourage those desiring to make additional skydives to continue at Skydive Orange, the next closest drop zone to Washington, DC. First time and student skydivers need not worry about the CYPRES requirement, your instructor will make sure we have on on our parachute system.
4) Directions to DC Skydivers Inc. in Hartwood, Virginia. District of Columbia skydivers find our skydiving center in Virginia the closest place to skydive to DC and Suburban Maryland for First Tandem Sky Dives!

A few of the folks from Hartwood Paracenter will be involved, as
will some of the experienced skydiving staff from Skydive Orange
and the former Greater Skydiving Center of Washington, DC that was
located at Saint Mary's airport in California, MD. DC Skydivers
Inc. will open up with a staff with a combined 45 years of
Skydiving instructional experience.
